This is no reflection whatsoever on anyone who recommended Your-Site to me. I'm sure they're working out fine for you, but I think their technical support team are complete idiots. :)

geeez ... i'm no fan of hostsave (currently considering a new hosting company) but at least they're relatively competent. when you first were talking about going to your-site it sounded decent but seriously, between 'accidentally' giving you access to someone else's site and not having an automated password changing mechanism i'm not interested. you should never, ever have to give your password to a human, regardless of whether or not they work for your hosting company. that's just standard practice.
those evil bastards.

ugh. i'm sorry. i feel guilty anyway. but they do have a money-back guarantee. i'd take it. and the only thing i know about hostsave is that you can't run moveable type on their server...

that's one of the downsides of searching for a good hosting company. you see one that has some options you like and they lack others. if we had a static ip i'd just host our sites on one of our servers at home and have all of the options we want.

I left them recently because service SUCKS ASS! I tried to stick it our for a couple of years...but it's just too damn slow and the service bites. I just changed to totalchoicehosting.com...and they rock!

Add my name to the list of people screwed by Your-Site. They just had a server crash and lost - flat-out lost - email. In my case, WEEKS of email. When I complained about it on their forum, I was banned and my posts were deleted. YOUR-SITE SUCKS!
