12/26/2001 Entry: "Xmas / Photos / Keystone nostalgia"
Yesterday was lovely. "The Kids" all met up for dinner at my parent's house. We ate some turkey, swapped presents, played some pool, gabbed, and made plans to go to a monster truck show next month. No one argued. It was very pleasant.
While we were there I opened up my old room. Zack and I use it for storage now. I was looking for photographs to scan for the new galleries I'm working on. After looking through boxes and boxes of stuff I became overwhelmed, grabbed a couple ziplock bags of stuff, and locked the room back up. I have a lot of crap. It will take me a whole day to sort through the photos, posters, flyers, etc. I'm toying with the idea of a Dallas music mini-site. I've got all kinds of stuff that people might enjoy. Maybe in a few weeks.
I found some pictures from my grade school in South Dakota. Ah, nostalgia. I always get this way around the holidays. I miss the snow, I guess. Here's a picture of our whole school from the second half of my kindergarden year (1980-1981). I think.
I'm in the front row, third from left. Notice my ultra-cool shoes. That's right, I was a Chuck Taylor girl even then.
Zack and I are going to Keystone this summer, for sure. I hope that some day we can buy a small house in the area. It's such a beautiful place. There's another eventual project... a gallery of the Black Hills. So many pictures, so many projects, so little time.
I hope everyone had a lovely yesterday, too.
