12/19/2001 Entry: "Hookahs"

I moved trucks out in Fort Worthless today. My boss let her father drive one of the units. He just recently acquired his class B CDL, which is all you need to bobtail, but she really doesn't trust him. I don't trust him either. She pulled me to the side and told me "Suzie, will you follow my dad and make sure he doesn't get into an accident?" Like I can use my immense telekinetic powers to control his crappy driving. Sure. Then she asks me "If he DOES get into an accident, will you switch places with him really quick?" Her reasoning: "Suzie, you're on the insurance policy, but he's not." My response: "Sure Susan, no problem." What I was thinking was: "Like hell. I won't even stop if the old fart sideswipes someone."

Susan's dad drove fine, but one of the other old fart drivers backed into my truck when we were leaving. Three (yes, three!) times. It pisses me off SO much that people think these guys know what they're doing and assume that *I* am a novice.

Damn them all.

I remember when someone
would have KILLED for this.

and your point is...?

Posted by Suzie @ 12/20/2001 11:21 AM CST

My POINT is, you should be thankful for things you have. There are many people right now who don't have a job at all, let alone knoe where there next meal is coming from or where they are going to sleep tonight. You should count your blessings.

I am very grateful for what I have. However, I DO have a right to rant in my own journal. I'll consider doing a special "things that are good" post.

Thanks for the comments, Pollyanna.

Perhaps you are too defensive. Just because I am thankful for what I have doesn't make me a "Pollyanna". I almost lost one of my parents recently, and it has made me appreciate what I have. But, if it makes you feel better to crack on me, go ahead.

Who's the Blonde Bimbo er Bombshell with Axl Rose? Could that be the penguin/crackwhore/donkey girl? meow! And I do mean Meow! =)

How about doing a "things I'm thankful for" post? Maybe a lil out of season but hey, I'm retro.

Things that I'm thankful for:
that WHAM will live on forever in my playlist
that I have friends that are willing to put up with my lame/procrastinating ass
that I've never worked out to the song Whoop, There It Is... unlike someone I know. =P

Jim, you bastard. :) You're vintage, not retro. Kidding!
